Position Overview

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will service and repair vehicles adhering to company standards and procedures. This includes performing pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards. Delivering top-quality service while maintaining high customer satisfaction is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness during service and repairs
  • Perform routine service inspections, tests, and standard maintenance tasks
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and in compliance with regulations
  • Support shop appearance and safety standards, including inventory management and general shop duties
  • Follow all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental guidelines
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and shop operations

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Chicago, IL.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Professional, dependable, and safety-conscious
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer and internet proficiency
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy objects as necessary
  • Entry-level candidates with some work experience are welcome to apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary automotive training or certifications such as ASE
  • Experience working at a dealer-level or large automotive facility
